IPM Mathemagic is joint venture between Institute for Promotion of Mathematics and Sigma innovations. Mathematics Scholarship Examination, a competitive examination is conducted by Institute for Promotion of Mathematics (IPM) every year for various standard where mathematics skill, mental ability, calculation speed, critical analysis and accuracy of child and application of shortcut method are tested.
Hence, the Mathematics Scholarship Examination syllabus covers provoking and challenging topics, thus exposing some interesting aspects of mathematics.
About Institute for Promotion of Mathematics
Institute for Promotion of Mathematics was established in 1996 for school children. The motive behind this initiative was to give students an opportunity to tackle mathematical problems outside the school examination curriculum which the present education fails to provide.Hence, the Mathematics Scholarship Examination syllabus covers provoking and challenging topics, thus exposing some interesting aspects of mathematics.
IPM Objectives
- To make the solving of mathematical problems a joyful activity and in general to sharpen a child’s mathematical skills.
- To test not the mechanical part of problem solving, but a child’s ability to understand the basic concept on various topics and their application.
- To emphasize mental arithmetic which is essential for quick and clear thinking.
- To encourage and prepare young student to appear for various Mathematics Competitive Examination and to inculcate in them an ambition to succeed in such competitive examination from an early age.
- To honor and inspire the Meritorious student by awarding Scholarships, Prizes, Mementos & Certificate.
IPM Scholarships and Prizes
Institute for Promotion of Mathematics conduct the All India Open Mathematics Scholarship Examination for std. 1st to 9th. For student at each standard level awards scholarship, trophies/mementos to the top 200/250 student are given to honor and inspire them.| 1st Prize | Rs.20,000/- |

| 126th to 200th Prize | Rs.150/- each |
| 201st to 250th Prize | Rs.125/- each |
- The top 250 students of Standard III to VI and 200 students of Standard VII to IX will be awarded one time cash scholarship as given above in the chart.
- Trophies/Mementos will be awarded to the first 5 Rank Holders of each class.
- Certificate of Merit will be awarded to the First 200/250 rank holders (as per the Merit-List) of each Class.
- Certificate of Distinction will be awarded to all students Qualifying for Mega-Final Exam but not to Merit Holder.
- Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to all students Appeared for final Exam.
- Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all students present for the final exam.
- Best School Award for top Two Schools Cash Prizes of Rs 5000/- and Rs 2500/- will be Awarded to the top two School with maximum number of students in the Merit List for each class (i.e. III to IX). In case of a tie, it would be resolved by considering the total prize money won by the students of the particular school.

When will you announce result of IPM 2019
Hello I hv called in the office today..I have 2 kids.hall ticket for 1 of the kid was there but for another it was wet and torn in the rain so the operator was very very rude to me instead of telling me seat no he was telling don’t be so irresponsible then he asked me which class your daughter is studying I told him his current class completely misunderstood that he was asking for which standered she appeared for exam.plz teach ur employees to talk with manners.this is experience I have got only in Ipm.kindly look into the matter as it is their job to open a computers and guide us with details not to teach us.
